I'm a lot of things: a business owner, digital creator, and homebody. But the thing I'm most proud of being is a mom to my eight year old son and a wife to the most supportive husband ever.

He'd tell you that since the early days of our relationship (which started back in 2010), I've started more than twenty businesses, most of them unsuccessful. I've always had this drive to do something more than the standard path: go to college, get a degree, land a corporate nine to five, and stay there for the rest of your life.

When I turned thirty, I'd had enough. I quit my corporate job of eight years. Seven years later, I still work fully for myself, with multiple revenue streams and some incredible online creators I've gotten to work alongside.

But the one thing that's always been missing is working directly with my own community. I was raised right here in Bedford, Indiana, in the rolling cornfields, and there's just something about this place that feels like home.

The decision to finally work with my own community is what led to DIY Social Studio. As a small business owner myself, I don't have the budget to hire a full social media manager, so I quickly realized the better move was building something affordable that helps business owners do it themselves.
